Leadership Tate County Seeks Applicants for 2012-2013 Program
Leadership Tate County, a program of the Tate County Economic Development Foundation (TCEDF), is seeking applicants for the 2012/2013 program year. The program seeks to develop and inspire future community leaders with an understanding of the promise and issues of the Tate County community at large.
Leadership Tate County 2012/2013 will begin with a kick-off dinner at Penny’s Pantry on Friday, Aug. 24 and a day-long retreat on Saturday, Aug. 25, followed by six monthly sessions that focus on community topics. Each session also has a leadership skills training component. Participants are divided into teams who choose and work on a community-based project. The monthly sessions are held on the second Tuesday of each month, beginning in September. The final session and graduation will be in February 26 2013 at the Tate County Economic Development Foundation annual meeting.
Cost of the program is $100. Nomination forms and applications are available at the Foundation office, 135 N. Front St., downtown Senatobia and online at the Foundation’s website www.tatecountyms.com. Deadline for applications to be received by the Foundation is Friday, July 27.
